Celebrating Success: Femme Fusion Wins the 2024 Regional Trust Your Crazy Ideas Challenge

We are thrilled to announce that Femme Fusion, a team from Ben Franklin High School, has emerged victorious in the 2024 Regional Trust Your Crazy Ideas Challenge! The talented quartet—Reva Sus, Gigi Frankowski, Cecilia Naccari, and Violet Moseley—captured the regional title with their innovative product concept that addresses a common yet often overlooked issue faced by women.

Femme Fusion's winning idea revolves around stylish and discreet shapewear embedded with heating pads, offering menstrual pain relief while promoting confidence and comfort. This ingenious solution not only tackles a practical need but also contributes to destigmatizing conversations around menstrual health.

The journey to success for Femme Fusion began in the fall of 2023 in JA’s Catalyst program. The team was chosen as semi-finalists and invited to participate in JA’s Accelerator program, meeting weekly with volunteer mentors. At the Greater New Orleans pitch competition during New Orleans Entrepreneur Week, the team took first place. Their victory at the local level propelled them to the regional finals, where they once again impressed judges with their creativity and entrepreneurial spirit.

At Junior Achievement, we are immensely proud of the Femme Fusion team and their outstanding achievement. It has been a privilege to support and mentor these budding entrepreneurs over the past few months as they honed their concept and refined their business pitch. Witnessing their growth and success has been truly inspiring.
