JA, Apple, and Delgado Partner to Empower Educators and Students

Junior Achievement of Greater New Orleans was proud to partner with Apple Education to host a two-day Digital Media Teacher Training on December 9–10, welcoming educators from across the region for a hands-on professional learning experience. Led by Apple Education specialists, the training explored how Apple tools can be integrated into instruction to enhance student creativity, storytelling, and future-ready skills in digital media production.

Participants learned advanced photography and videography techniques, produced high-quality digital media using Final Cut and other Apple apps, and collaborated with fellow educators in an engaging, supportive environment. We are deeply grateful to the educators who made time to learn, connect, and invest in experiences that will directly benefit their students.

This training is part of a broader and exciting collaboration between Apple, Delgado Community College, the Dottin-Haley Group, and Junior Achievement, one that directly enhances the JA BizTown experience for students. Through donated Apple products, JA BizTown students will now have the opportunity to create a commercial about their town during their capstone day, using the same world-class technology and tools they will encounter in college and the workplace.

JA BizTown is JA’s immersive, capstone program that combines in-class learning with a full-day simulation of a real-world economy. Students take on roles as business owners, employees, consumers, and civic leaders in a simulated town, applying lessons in financial literacy, entrepreneurship, teamwork, and civic responsibility. The addition of Apple technology elevates this experience, allowing students not only to run businesses, but to tell their stories creatively through media production.
