A Community of Champions: Thank You to Our 597 JA Volunteers

Every day across Southeast Louisiana, young people step into classrooms, career exploration events, and hands-on learning experiences feeling seen, supported, and inspired because more than 500 dedicated Junior Achievement volunteers chose to show up for them.

This year, collectively, you shared thousands of hours of your time to help students dream bigger, understand their financial futures, and see real pathways to college and career success. You led lessons in financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and work readiness; you coached students through budgeting exercises and business pitches; you opened doors to industries they never knew existed. Most importantly, you showed them that their community believes in their potential.

Your commitment is the heartbeat of JA’s mission. You bring the curriculum to life, connect learning to the real world, and empower students to imagine themselves as leaders, innovators, and change-makers. Whether you volunteered once or came back week after week, your presence made a difference that will echo for years.

To every volunteer—corporate partners, parents, professionals, educators, retirees, and young adults—thank you. Thank you for lending your expertise, your encouragement, and your belief in what young people can achieve. Our region is stronger, more vibrant, and more hopeful because of you.

Here’s to continuing this work together as we build a future where every student has the tools, confidence, and opportunity to thrive.

With deep appreciation,

Junior Achievement of Greater New Orleans
