Aulston Taylor is a servant leader, visionary strategist, and passionate advocate for education and cultural preservation. As President and CEO of St. Augustine High School since 2021, he has revitalized the historic institution through bold, data-driven growth and compassionate leadership.
Under Aulston’s stewardship, St. Augustine’s operating budget has grown from $6.8 million to $10.3 million; its endowment more than doubled from $4 million to $9.8 million, and total assets expanded from $27.2 million to $36.2 million. He spearheaded a $21 million campus modernization initiative, advancing future-ready learning environments while maintaining St. Augustine’s 100% college acceptance rate with over four hundred graduates.
A former sales and marketing executive in New York City, Aulston built a career leading strategic campaigns and partnerships for Fortune 500 companies, expertise he now channels into elevating St. Augustine’s visibility and impact. His collaborative approach has yielded transformative partnerships, including a workforce development pipeline with The Walt Disney Company and academic alliances with 20+ universities nationwide.
Aulston is a steadfast cultural steward. He serves on the boards of Agenda for Children, Louisiana Museum Foundation, an executive trustee with the New Orleans Museum of Art, and leads governance as a board member for the Preservation Resource Center of New Orleans. He also contributes to Higher Education as a member of Texas Southern University’s National Education Council and as a transition committee member of the University of New Orleans for the Louisiana State University System.
Aulston holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Texas Southern University and an M.S. in Integrated Marketing with a concentration in Brand Management from NYU. A proud New Orleanian, he is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., Zulu Social Aid & Pleasure Club, and the Rex Organization, reflecting his lifelong commitment to service, culture, and community. Aulston is also a member of Youth President’s Organization (YPO) – the world’s largest leadership community of Chief Executive Officers.
