Samir Mowad
Senior Vice President & General Manager, Caesar’s Entertainment, Inc.
Samir Mowad boasts a diverse career encompassing civic, strategic, entertainment, and operational leadership. As the first native New Orleanian to be Senior Vice President & General Manager of Caesars New Orleans, Samir oversaw the $435M transformation of Harrah’s into Caesars and is currently responsible for all ongoing gaming, hospitality and support operations.
Samir has enjoyed a lengthy tenure with Caesars Entertainment Corporation, dedicating almost two decades to various leadership roles, including General Manager, Assistant General Manager, Vice President of Operations, Vice President of Hospitality and Vice President of Human Resources. He initially joined Harrah’s New Orleans in 2005 to launch the popular Masquerade nightclub. He returned to the now Caesars New Orleans in 2020 after managing various properties in both Missouri and Iowa.
In addition to his professional roles, Samir serves on several boards including the Business Council of New Orleans, New Orleans and Company, the Greater New Orleans Hotel & Lodging Association, the Council on Alcohol & Drug Abuse for Greater New Orleans, and the Audubon Institute.
Samir earned a BS in Basic Sciences from Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine and a MBA in Management from The University of Kansas School of Business. He previously attended LSU after graduating from Jesuit High School in New Orleans. When he’s not working or spending time with his wife and two children, Samir enjoys attending Saints, LSU games, and other sporting events in addition to traveling.
