Junior Achievement is the global leader in providing cutting-edge, hands-on financial literacy, entrepreneurship and work-readiness education.  Junior Achievement is committed to ongoing evaluation and quality assurance of all Junior Achievement programs.  Over the past five years, more than 96% of JA’s programs have undergone a comprehensive, nationwide evaluation by a third-party evaluation firm.  Findings prove that JA, at all levels, is preparing students to develop successful financial management habits, empowering them to explore the potential of becoming an entrepreneur, and providing them the skills necessary to succeed in a global workforce.*

Junior Achievement enhances the relevancy of education, bridging the gap between what students are learning in school and how it can be applied in the real world.

  • 95% of teachers and 92% of volunteers who have brought the JA experience to the classroom report that JA students develop a better understanding of how the real world operates.

 

  • 66% of teachers and volunteers – nearly 8 out of 10 – report that JA better prepares students for the world of work and 75% say that Junior Achievement programs help students realize the importance of staying in school.

JA Programs Boost the Local Economy

Junior Achievement students are more likely to become entrepreneurs.

  • In a recent JA Alumni study, 20% of respondents indicated that they own their businesses, as opposed to 7% of the comparison group and 10% of the general population.

 

  • Junior Achievement students score significantly higher – at least 10% – than their peers on assessments that measure financial literacy.  They understand the importance of money management.

 

  • More than 80% of all JA alumni report that they gained strength in skills pertaining to problem solving, decision making, critical thinking and interpersonal communication.
