Entergy is just one of 14 businesses within the 10,000 square foot JA BizTown.  Entergy’s primary purposes are to provide and meter electricity usage as well as handle businesses’ garbage collection and recycling services.

Key Features:

Electricity Metering: technicians visit each shop to record a meter reading and compare it to the previous day’s reading to create a bill

Garbage Collection: a lot of non-recyclable garbage is produced in the restaurant, as well as there is small amount of garbage produced in each business; technicians collect this garbage and bring it to the JA BizTown landfill and see how it all piles up

Recycling: in every business is a recycling bin for paper, plastic, glass and aluminum; technicians collect these recyclables, sort them, and bring them to the JA BizTown recycling center

Human Resources:

CEO – the boss; must manage employees and the company to pay back a business loan and earn a profit

CFO – handles paying bills, trips to the bank and all accounting

Technicians – meter electricity usage and provide garbage/recycling services

Capital Resources:

Clipboards, electric meters, garbage carts, plastic bags, vacuums, toilet paper, soap, napkins, etc.
