Capital One Bank is just one of 14 businesses within the 10,000 square foot JA BizTown. Capital One Bank’s primary purposes are to issue business loans, accept business and personal deposits, and encourage personal investment.

Key Features:

Business Loans are necessary for all businesses and are applied for by CEO who must submit their business plans to the Capital One Bank CEO.

Personal Deposits are taken at the teller stations and are recorded electronically on the JA BizTown network. Students must bring their signed paycheck, a complete deposit ticket and their identification card.

Business Deposits/Loan Payments are taken by the Capital One Bank CEO.  All business must make at least one business deposit per day to pay their business loan.

Checkbooks are used by students to purchase goods and services.

Human Resources:

CEO – the boss; must manage employees and the company to earn a profit

CFO – handles paying bills, savings accounts, and all accounting

 Tellers – process personal (paycheck) deposits

Capital Resources:

Computers, line queue stanchions, deposit stamps, pencils, calculators, file drawer, etc.
