B.A. St. Ville Academy Students Learn
How to Become Successful Adults

7th grade students at B.A. St. Ville Accelerated Academy in west bank Jefferson Parish are learning how to become successful adults.  For six, 45 minute sessions after school, students will participate in JA Economics for Success JA Economics for Success explores personal finance and students’ education and career options based on their skills, interests, and values (see a video introduction).  The students of B.A. St. Ville are not your ordinary students, though.  Students at this school have failed 7th grade twice at their previous schools and were given the opportunity to catch up to their classmates by turning their lives around and working extra hard at B.A. St. Ville.  Students attend classes well into the afternoon and attend Saturday classes as well.  There is a similar school on the east bank of Jefferson Parish, Bunche Accelerated Academy, which is participating in JA Economics for Success as well.
