Shell Volunteers Make a Difference at Capdau Charter
Volunteers from Shell Exploration & Production participated in a JA Day for grades K-4 at the Capital One/University of New Orleans Pierre Capdau Charter School.  During the JA Day, students received all five of the elementary grade JA sessions in one day rather than the more common one session a week for five weeks delivery method.  Kindergarten students learned to identify money and learned that money must respected by earning it fairly, spending it wisely, and saving it for bigger needs/wants later in life.  Fourth grade students learned how businesses acquire and use resources and how managers must calculate and record their income and expenses in order to make a profit and run a successful company.
