Junior Achievement in the River Parishes

LEFT: Cargill has teamed with Junior Achievement again this year in support of inspiring in youngsters the importance of the free enterprise system and the importance of staying in school.  Cargill has been actively involved in the Junior Achievement programs at Leon Godchaux for serveral years.  In addition to volunteering and enjoying time spent with the students of Leon Godchaux Accelerated Program, Cargill has donated $2000 to the program this year.  These funds will be used to support JA programs and St. John Parish Public Schools.

RIGHT: In St. Charles Parish, Satellite Center STAR I Team Members recently completed their Junior Achievement teaching experiences at both Norco K-3 and Luling Elementary.  On November 28th, team members and their kindergarten and first -grade students celebrated the successful completion of Junior Achievement with games and treats that were made available through the Brown Foundation Grant awarded to the STAR program earlier this year.  [Visit STAR online]
