Blessey Charities and CityBusiness present the 9th Annual Crescent City Corporate Championship

The 9th Annual Crescent City Corporate Championship sponsored by Blessey Charities and New Orleans CityBusiness was held on Friday, October 24 at Beau Chene Country Club in Mandeville, LA.  This unique tournament, benefiting Junior Achievement of Greater New Orleans, attracted more than 280 golfers from over 60 companies.  The tournament gives its guests an opportunity to entertain their best clients and network with local business executives while enjoying a relaxing and competitive day on the beautiful fairways and greens on the North Shore.

Each golfer received a tee package at registration worth more than $150 including an Adidas golf shirt, TaylorMade hat, a sleeve of Maxfli Noodle golf balls, and a $100 gift certificate for merchandise at the TaylorMade golf store.  The golf store included TaylorMade clubs, golf balls and accessories, bags, gloves, headwear, travel gear, and much more.

The golfers enjoyed a full breakfast prior to tee-off as well as an array of food and drinks on the course including chicken breakfast sandwiches, Bar-B-Que, sausage, jambalaya, oysters on the half shell, fried shrimp and catfish, and chips and salsa.  Food stations were sponsored by Acme Oyster House, Chevy’s Fresh Mex, Chick-Fil-A, Hose Specialty and Supply, Oil Mops, and PPG.  Beverages were provided by Budweiser, and Pepsi Americas, and Republic National Distributing Company.

A silent and live auction were held featuring golf memorabilia from Pro Tour Memorabilia, LSU sports items, and two one-of-a-kind birdie and eagle artwork designed by artist Phil Galatas.  Golfers also enjoyed fine cigars and an array of refined scotch and whiskey.  On-course contests included longest drive, closest-to-the pin, and hole-in-ones sponsored by Lee Michaels Fine Jewelry and Paretti Family of Dealerships.

The golfers retired from the course to the 19th Hole Reception sponsored by Whitney National Bank.  Each golfer received a parting gift which included a bottle of wine or a gift pack of pralines from Aunt Sally’s Pralines.

The tournament winners took home gift certificates to the TaylorMade store valued from $75 to $150 and the Resurrection print by artist Phil Galatas.
