Soldiers of Love’s sponsorship of Lafayette Academy Charter School was a big hit. In partnership with Junior Achievement, the week-long event allowed for 31 Soldiers of Love volunteers to go into the school for one hour a day and teach various programs to K – 7 students, such as Our Community, JA Global Marketplace, and Our City, among others. Topics allowed students to learn important life skills such as the importance of a job, how taxes work, how to manage money, to name a few. Soldiers of love made a sizeable donation as well.
